1. Food and Beyond
It’s easy to overlook aspects of our life that contribute to our sense of nourishment and fulfillment. It’s not just the food we eat that affects our health, but all of the other factors present in our daily lives. As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole:
- Does stress at your job or in your relationship(s) cause you to overeat?
- Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising?
Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular physical activity, and spiritual awareness are essential forms of nourishment. When these primary foods are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary. I will support you in achieving your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired, fulfilling life.
2. Diet to Nutrition
Each of us has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run.
Instead of prescribing a diet to you, I will work with you to explore the food that is right for your unique needs, lifestyle and preferences. I will introduce you to the importance of local and organic produce, whole grains, high quality proteins, plant based fats, and water. I will make you aware of some of the healthiest foods on the planet and teach you how to find what’s healthiest for your unique body!
By eating and drinking foods that are good for you, you will naturally have less room and desire for unhealthy foods. This takes a little practice to make happen, but I will support you along the way.
3. Advice to Accountability
My role as a Health Coach will be to not only impart you the knowledge of nutritious food and how your lifestyle leads to the food choices you make, but to also support you in identifying specific steps to achieve your wellbeing goals. A key principle of my approach is that you have the solution to achieve your objectives; my role is to help you identify that solution.
Once we have agreed on the actions you would like to take, I will provide you support to find the motivation to make the changes. Any change is a gradual process and I will encourage you to continue to progress on your journey.
